Welcome to my website, I hope you enjoy looking at my paintings.  I paint instinctively and want my paintings to be contemplative, and peaceful.

When I paint I think about life, eternity, my personal God My work is  often inspired by  my catholic upbringing,  .  Sometimes when I start a painting I have no idea where it will take me, or how long it will take, some have taken years.  Sometimes I have to discover the painting, and it gradually takes form.  I apply layers to my paintings to give depth of colour and richness.   My imagination weaves stories around the paintings as they develop.    Artists who have had a particlar influence on my work are Marc Chagall, Cecil Collins and Klimt.  There are many others but these are the main ones and Byzantine and early christian art.

 I often work at night when the world is silent, I feel that is a special time, when my soul is in harmony with my consciousness and I feel that somehow I tune into the creative waves that flow around all of us all the time, but we are usually too busy to notice.
